Why isn’t there a clearly-written, example-filled version of an AMD tuning post out there that I can find? I’m trying to tune my ancient 580 and Vega for enhanced crypto mining, and there’s just a lot of rambling on and on about why you might use it and the state of “modern” tuning in articles and videos from 2018, or else a guy on Reddit says “I got 51.2MH/s with 1037p7 and 113.1mV set on the P7 row!!!!!!!” and then a bunch of self-congratulatory nonsense below that makes less sense than the original post.
Anyway, I know I’m dumb, but I’m not interested in learning the ins and outs of GPU tuning algorithms, nor am I at all interested in iterative changes that either do literally nothing or that completely brick the entire PC from now till the heat death of the universe. I know that in 2021, the internet has failed me in that there’s no simple, “here’s what to tweak, here’s what to ignore and you’ll be 90% of the way there.”
