After Thursdays over-drunken ABDC wrap party and Fridays hangover day where I didnt spend any real time at the computer, the weekend came in and assaulted me with its sheer banality. Okay, I dont know what that means, and its probably a lie.
Casey & I went to the beach with Margaret & Kevin on Saturday, and this time went out to Point Dume State Park. There was a long staircase down the side of a cliff and then a long, rocky walk to the sand, but afterwards, it was all worthwhile. I like going to new places, even if they do make you do a little extra work.
Speaking of extra work, the party afterwards was a lot of extra work. As you can tell from the picture here, I had to stare at Teddy for hours on end, and man, was it tiring. After cleaning up on Sunday, we went to the grocery store and then came back here and spent the better part of the rest of our day on the couch watching various bits and pieces of television and such. The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford was way worse than it had any business being, mostly by dint of the fact that the storytelling was poorly executed. And to think that Relativity financed it. For shame.
What else? Today is the return to work. I also think I should see a movie. Well see what the day brings. I hope it brings a bushel of awesome. And my order from NewEgg – I have an install to accomplish.
