The thing about the smoking habits reports that are making researchers happy this week is that they ignore the single smoker who has no support from a social group. I feel like theres a mental state of persecution among the individual smokers that strengthens their resolve to be smokers on their own. This isnt making much sense, but ill read more and think more about this later on.
Im glad that people quit in groups. I have more investment in the single smoker than in those groups, so I only see the unspoken/unstudied minorities in a situation like this.
