So I didnt come back with a sales receipt and a giant, fat check for a bazillion dollars, but at least I came back. I actually drove home last night (as my twitter update would imply) and almost fell asleep, but not quite. I didnt learn to teleprompt, but I did see Dave on Tuesday night, so that was cool. I also saw Rambo (awesome!) and There Will Be Blood (terrible!). Good stuff. I even went for a run on Wednesday morning because I was feeling sluggish and stupid. It helped, but made me depressed, because I couldnt run for 10 minutes straight. And Im sore today. Whoa.
Anyway, I dont care about the debates tonight. I dont care about the premiere of LOST. I think I may work on my new screenplay tonight instead. Id play videogames, but its been all XBox all the time (as far as videogames go, anyway) for me and thats hooked up to the TV. Whatever – I have creative guilt that Im out there pitching a reality show and really really hoping I sell it. Why I feel the need to write something thatll never sell instead is a mystery to me. Im such a loser!
Okay, back to work. Gotta catch up on computer stuff so that I can finish the big stuff before I leave for Europe on the 8th. Man, I wish I was going to be taking an EeePC with me. Then youd be getting update after update from my travellin ass. Also, computer-wise, I really have to reformat this computer. I either have bits of a virus (although nothing thats spreading because Ive been watching my internet usage very carefully) or a badly-botched install of SOMETHING because the floppy drive in this computer (shut up – its an old machine, okay?) will randomly light up and try to access for a few seconds. I have a feeling that its related to Xobni, the Outlook helper app, but I dont really know. Its been a long time since I did a reformat and Im kinda ready for a change. Should I consider a stripped-down version of Vista?
