Im tired, so thisll probably be a short, terse roundup of what was a short-but-enjoyable Christmas Holiday. At the moment, Im sitting in my room amid unpacked crap that needs to be wedged into already-suitcases. I took Mom & Rod to the airport this morning at 4:45am, then Drew left about three hours later. Ive started some laundry (sheets & towels is all – nothing actually useful) and have a vague plan to put some things away before I leave this afternoon around three. I also need to shower, for I am dirty as can be.
Yesterday was our “Christmas 2” celebration. Its good to see everyone, but its tiring because the energy is always so up, up, up! If we saw each other more than once a year these days, itd be much easier, actually, because we wouldnt all be trying to do all of our catching up at once. But who has the money for that?
Christmas day on Tuesday was very nice – we all got and gave cool stuff, and the pace was easy, but determined. Besides, we had monkey bread. Christmas is the one day of the year when I can have monkey bread and for that reason alone I would relish it. Adding the fact that we sit around and open presents… shit – Christmas is fantastic.
I dont remember the rest. Ive got some pics that Ill do later, but first I have to learn how to batch edit in the Gimp and I dont think Im coherent enough to learn anything at the moment. I can, however, pick things up and put them away. I can also find a cab to take me to the airport later, maybe. Well see.
