Clapboard - Full Frontal Nerdity

Pre History

Some really, really old shit...

The newer of this ancient stuff is from the last version of clapboard that I wrote myself.  It was based on the Fong Device, which was The Cyberarmy version of Matt Wright's WWWBoard script.  I re-wrote it to have a password-protected "post" page and then to post not only titles, but posts on one HTML page and made it the basis for my website.  Thinking about it that way, that was the last time I had a truly unique web presence, since I really did write much of it myself to do exactly what I wanted it to do.

The older stuff is on a similar template, but was cut-n-paste HTML nonsense through dreamweaver or manually, depending on which computer i was at.  I managed to make the Fong Device look virtually identical, but it was way easier.

The Log - 2002 Edition, #4

September 2nd - November 12th, 2002

The last time I worked with flat files, I was pretty proud of myself as you can tell from the last (top) post done the old way.

The Log - 2002 Edition, #1

January 1 - March 13th, 2002

don't know why 2002 got its own section anymore on the Dragonfly site, but I'm going to condense it all a little bit, knowing full well that no one reads this stuff.

Pre-History #4

The last time my blog looked exactly like this.

Pre History #3

July 9 - September 20th, 2001

This stuff includes September 11th notes, standing as the last written record of how I felt.  I wasn't very eloquent, but it was real.

Pre-History #2

January 2 - June 28, 2001

2001 was an infinitely better year than 2000, and I think the log reflects some of the better times that I got to spend.

Pre-History #1

November 6 - December 19, 2000

The beginning of the Clapboard log from my very first hosts - everything before <b>this</b> was on Geocities and UMBC's site.  I don't remember who the hosts were or what they charged (I think Jesse from 411 might have done the hosting for awhile, but I don't know), but I know I moved a few times in those first couple of years.

Anyway, this stuff just goes to show that I never change.  My problems and solutions to problems stay the same. I complain about the same shit, run into the same roadblocks and even write the same.  So much for character development.  At least I'm consistent.

Careful - past the break lie lots of tables (autoformatted by a script I hacked up myself, in fact).
