I'm sitting on my awesome balcomy at an awesome little hotel in Palm Desert. The fact that I never know if 'desert' is supposed to have one 's' or two aside, this place is really a gem. It helps immensely that they upgraded the shit out of the room and now the wide balcony overlooks the pool, that the bedroom is at be back and secluded so you can sleep while i type, and the minikitchen's fridge kept my drinks cool all night long. If there weren't so many damn kids everywhere, I'd be pretty much perfectly happy. And that's not the hotel's fault, but the fault of so many people deciding that kids are the way to go. Meh.
Anyway, my last gig before heading back out with Bon Jovi on Tuesday went swimmingly - easy in, easy out, no troubles. Driving back to LA today is going to be a damn pain in the ass with the traffic, but otherwise, today should be a low-key, do-nothing day, which will be nice, given the flurry of madness that has to happen over the next few days. Also, who knew that the entire drive to Palm Springs is now suburban sprawl. When I used to drive out to see Cathy, it wasn't nearly that bad. I guess five years of real-estate boom can really fuck things up for isolated places.
Okay, it's time to check out. Palm Desert gets an A from me. The black palmrests on this mac get a C+.
